We are an organization that’s province wide, however, our work in Calgary consists mostly of working with low-income and underprivileged children and youth in the Greater Forest Lawn area. We do this by providing after-school care and programming, regular weekend events, holiday events, meals, youth drop-in, and Summer Camps. All of our events also include meals.
Volunteers have made a huge impact by loving those who come through our doors. The children and youth have come to know and trust them, as they know that Hope Mission is a safe place for them. The role of a volunteer will look different depending on which area they volunteer in (as mentioned above) and within those programs we need help preparing food, tutoring elementary aged children, hanging out with youth, and helping with special events.
