Calgary Seniors has existed since 1995 when three similar organizations came together to serve seniors in our community better.
Our agency provides a variety of innovative programs and services to seniors throughout the city with the goals to end senior isolation and help seniors remain safe and independent in their homes as long as possible. We provide assistance with transportation, social support, housing, critical needs and benefits as well as information and referrals. To help prevent seniors from ending up in crisis Calgary Seniors educates the community on how to identify signs of a senior at risk to help spread awareness about senior’s issues and ensure people have a way to report seniors they believe are in distress. We are also the designated provider of outreach for seniors in the north east of Calgary, as a part of The Way In Network.
We accomplish all of this through the hard work of our dedicated staff, including a team of registered social workers, as well as the time and effort of hundreds of volunteers and the support of our sponsors and individual donors. Our agency truly is an inspiring example of a community coming together to support those who need it most.
We make a difference, one senior at a time.
